An adaptor protein (lysosome-associated apoptosis-inducing protein containing PH and FYVE domains, 279 aa) that recruits phosphorylated p53 to lysosomes. Overexpression of LAPF in L929 cells induces apoptosis and also increases cell sensitivity to TNFα-induced apoptosis. A member of the phafin family.
