LAT adaptor

Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

An adaptor protein (linker for activation of T-cells, 262- and 243-aa isoforms) involved in T-cell receptor (TCR)-mediated signalling. The intracytoplasmic domain is tyrosine-phosphorylated by ZAP-70 when the TCR aggregates and recruits SH2 domain-containing cytosolic enzymes and adaptors. Also found in platelets, where it becomes phosphorylated in response to collagen, collagen-related peptide (CRP), and FcgRIIA crosslinking. A similar adaptor, growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 (Grb2)-binding adaptor protein, transmembrane (GAPT), is expressed in B cells and myeloid cells.
