US dancer. She trained locally and at the School of American Ballet, School of American Ballet Theatre, and School of Pennsylvania Ballet and danced with Central Pennsylvania Ballet (1975–82), Joffrey II, and Joffrey Ballet (1982–92) before joining San Francisco Ballet as principal from 1992 to 2009. A very versatile dancer, her repertory ranged from Lise in Ashton's La Fille mal gardée to Balanchine's Rubies and she created roles in many works, including Bintley's The Dance House (1994), Morris's Pacific (1995), Tomasson's Criss-Cross (1997), and Wheeldon's Quaternary (2005).
