Belgian dancer, choreographer, and director. He studied with M. Querida and V. Gsovsky and in 1947 danced with Ballets des Champs-Elysées, becoming dancer with Béjart's Ballet of the 20th Century, where he created roles in Symphonie No. 9 (1966), among others. In 1956 he choreographed his first ballet and in 1966 was appointed ballet master of the Royal Opera Antwerp, becoming ballet director in 1968. In 1970 he was appointed chief choreographer of Ballet of Flanders. He created over 50 works, most of them showcases for virtuoso classical dance, including Ritus Paganus (mus. F. Glorieux, 1972).
