Quick Reference

Now that the use of the Internet is increasing dramatically, companies and employees are using legal disclaimers more and more. For example, emails often contain some text in their signature file which states that the contents are the opinions and views of the author rather than the company. Another example is the legal disclaimer placed on software downloaded from the Internet. A third example is the practice of companies placing legal notices on Web sites to which access is restricted: this is done in order to make the prosecution of crackers who enter the site easier.
