A dark and somewhat reddish kilometre-scale patch on Europa; pl.lenticulae. Lenticulae are complex and can take the form of shallow domes, broad flat spots, or regions of chaotic pitting. They are thought to form from underlying ice convecting or melting through to Europa's surface.
