French dancer. She studied at the Paris Opera Ballet School from 1983 and graduated into the company in 1987 where she was promoted to premiere danseuse in 1993 and named étoile in 1997, after her performance in Nureyev's production of Swan Lake. A tall slender, aristocratic dancer with a natural gift for communicating emotion on stage, she has been equally successful in classical and modern repertories and has guested widely, including with National Ballet of Cuba, Dutch National Ballet, Tokyo Ballet, English National Ballet, and the Mariinsky.
