A questionnaire designed to measure interpersonal liking, defined in terms of fondness and respect for the liked person and a feeling that the liked person is similar to oneself, the scale being specifically intended to distinguish liking from loving, which is measured by a romantic love scale. Both scales were constructed by the US psychologist Zick Rubin (born 1944) and published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology in 1970.
