A type of intrusion in fluent speech, especially allegro speech, in which the phoneme /r/ is pronounced in such phrases as the car in the photo or the floor of the House, even by a non-rhotic speaker (such as one who uses Received Pronunciation) who does not normally pronounce the /r/ in car or floor.
