British-Canadian teacher and choreographer. She studied at the Ginner-Mawar Dance School in London and after moving to Canada founded (with B. Farrally) the Winnipeg Ballet Club in 1938, which subsequently became the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and School. She choreographed many works for the company including the first all-Canadian ballet, Shadow on the Prairie, until she left it in 1958. She also established a school in Toronto in 1950.
