The strength of a training stimulus or the work executed per unit time during a training session. Loading intensities for endurance training and speed-training are calculated from the athlete's speed in metres per second and frequency of movement; for strength training, loading intensity is reflected by the amount of resistance (see repetition maximum); for jumping or throwing, loading intensity depends on the height jumped or distances thrown.
