The sidereal time determined with reference to the observer's own local meridian. It is the local hour angle of the vernal equinox. It differs from the Greenwich Sidereal Time by the observer's longitude, being 4 min greater than GST for every degree east of Greenwich, and 4 min less for every degree west.
