A very rare class of stony-iron meteorite, named after the town of Lodran in Pakistan, where this type was first identified. Lodranite meteorites consist primarily of olivine and bronzite (orthopyroxene) mixed with metallic nickel–iron. Lodranites show some similarity to the ureilites.
