Four terrorist attacks in London which were carried out on behalf of al-Qaeda. At around 9 am three bombs exploded on three different underground trains at rush hour. A separate bomb went off on a London bus. Over 700 people were injured in the blasts, 52 were killed, and several thousands were psychologically affected. Two weeks later, further bombs were planted, but failed to detonate.
