A commodity exchange, which emerged in 1954 as a successor to the London Commercial Sale Rooms. In 1987 it became the Futures and Options Exchange (London FOX), Europe's leading market for futures and options in soft commodities, and in 1996 it merged with the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE). The latter is now part of Euronext NV.
