An exercise that helps to prevent backache (figure 39)

▪ Lie on your back with your legs fully extended. Draw one knee up to your chest and grasp the thigh (not the knee) so that you can pull the knee tightly down with your hands. Keep the other leg extended and, if possible, stabilized by a partner, weight, or strap. Return to the starting position and repeat with the other leg.
