Quick Reference

The origins of Ludeca are not known, but Florence of Worcester believed that he was a kinsman of Beornwulf, whom he succeeded in 825. When he advanced against the East Anglians to avenge his predecessor, he was himself killed. No charters are extant, but coins of indifferent quality have been found.
