A bystander substrate (o-aminophthaloyl hydrazide) used, like lucigenin, in chemiluminescence assays for the metabolic burst of leucocytes. When oxidized by the myeloperoxidase/hydrogen peroxide system, it emits light at 425 nm. Used by forensic scientists to detect traces of blood.
