Danish dancer, choreographer and director. He trained at the Royal Danish Ballet School, and graduated into the company in 1993, becoming soloist in 1996 and principal in 2000. A graceful, compact, exceptionally musical dancer, he became one of the foremost Bournonville stylists of his generation. As well as dancing the Bournonville repertory Lund has also created roles in many ballets by Kylián, Martins, Ratmansky, and Lubovitch, among others. He has additionally worked as a choreographer, creating his own works and staging sections of the Bournonville repertory, and has taught both at the RDB school and abroad. In 2005 he was artistic director of the Principals and Soloists of the RDB Group and in 2007 co-author of Danselaede of springkrafte—16 spor til dansen, a memoir about the world of ballet. He is recipient of numerous honours and awards including the Reumert Lifetime Achievement Award, 2006.
