Russian dancer. She studied at the Bolshoi Ballet school, graduating into the company in 1997 and promoted to soloist 1999 and principal 2005. A precociously gifted dancer, with a lyrical line and dramatic stage presence, she performed the title role of Giselle aged just 18 (coached by Maximova) and has since gone on to dance most of the classical ballerina roles in the Bolshoi's repertory, additionally performing in ballets by Petit, Fokine, Balanchine, Robbins, Ratmansky, and others. She has guested abroad, including with the touring company of Malakhov (whom she partnered when he appeared with the Bolshoi). She appeared in the film Saint Petersburg–Cannes Express (2003).
