An influential Bengali Advaitin teacher and Vaiṣṇava bhakti poet, who, while remaining a strict non-dualist, argued for the efficacy of bhakti as a means to the realization of ātman/brahman (neut.). His best known philosophical work is the Advaitasiddhi; he also wrote a number of commentaries, including one on the Bhagavadgītā (the Gūḍhārthadīpikā).
