Quick Reference

(d. c.1375),

queen of David II of Scotland. Daughter of Sir Malcolm Drummond and widow of Sir John Logie. After the death of David II's first wife in 1362, Margaret Logie was openly recognized by the king as his ‘beloved’. The two were married in 1363. There were however no children of her marriage to David and in 1370 the king divorced her, probably to leave him free to marry again.
