Hungarian dancer, choreographer, and company director. He studied at the State Ballet Institute in Budapest, graduating in 1967. He joined the Budapest Opera Ballet Company and from 1972 to 1979 danced with Béjart's Ballet of the 20th Century. In 1979 he returned to Hungary and founded the Györ Ballet, for which he made many works. He left the company in 1991 and in 1996 founded the Budapest-based Hungarian Festival Ballet for which he continued to choreograph. He has also created work for other companies including a setting of Beethoven's 9th Symphony for the Hungarian National Ballet.
