A form of practice of a motor skill in which there is relatively little or no rest between repeat performances of the skill. Massed practice sometimes refers to practice sessions in which the amount of practice time is greater than the amount- of rest time between repetitions. Massed practice tends to have less positive influence on skill acquisition than distributed practice.
