Quick Reference

Never a member of the Stationers’ Company, Maunsell, a Draper, was active as publisher and bookseller from 1576. His Catalogue of English Printed Bookes, the first two parts of which (divinity; and science and music) were published in 1595, lists books by surname of author and is a witness to titles no longer extant. The projected third part (to cover literature, logic, law, and history) never appeared.
