A passage or opening. The auditory meatus is the passage leading from the pinna of the outer ear to the eardrum. There are four paired structures within the nasal cavity; these are the superior nasal meatus, the middle nasal meatus, the inferior nasal meatus, and a common nasal meatus. The middle meatus contains an antrum, the ethmoidal bulla, and the ethmoidal infundibulum.
