Dutch architectural firm founded (1980) by Chris de Weijer (1956– ), Erick van Egeraat (1956– ), Francine Houben (1955– ), and Henk Döll (1956– ). Influenced by De Stijl, and by the work of Brinkman, van der Vlugt, and Stam, among their buildings may be cited the Botanical Institute and Library, Wageningen (1989), the Boompjes Restaurant Pavilion, Rotterdam harbour (1990), the Mecanoo House, Rotterdam (1991), the Prinsenland Housing, Rotterdam (1988–93), the library for Delft Technical University (1995–9), and the conversion of a C18 church in Amsterdam into the De Trust Theatre (1995–9).
