Quick Reference

A specialist type of maximum-parsimony tree method for phylogenetic reconstruction in which all the most parsimonious trees are represented in a reticulate grid in a three-dimensional perspective. Median networks are applied to data where the degree of homoplasy is very high and the number of informative sites very low (e.g. with data derived from populations).
