Subglacial melt-out till reflects the amount of sediment in transport at the time of melting; supra-glacial melt-out till is located at the margins of a glacier, and includes lateral and terminal moraines. Larson et al. (2003) GSA Abstr. with Progs 35, 299 suggest that distinctive silt pellets in melt-out tills indicate glaciohydraulic supercooling.
