(7th century (?),
an Irish abbot who worked in Scotland. Reputedly a disciple of Comgall, he became a monk at Bangor (Co. Down) and founded the monastery of Paisley, where he died, was buried, and where his shrine was the object of pilgrimage. A chapel dedicated to him is in ruins at Inch Murryn, the largest island in Loch Lomond. Feast: 15 September.
