A component (protein MIS12 homologue, 215 aa) of the MIS12 complex that is required for normal chromosome alignment and segregation and for kinetochore formation during mitosis. The complex consists of MIS12 together with DSN1 (kinetochore-associated protein DSN1 homologue, 356 aa), NSL1 (kinetochore-associated protein NSL1 homologue, 281 aa) and PMF1 (polyamine-modulated factor 1, 205 aa).
