A client that is not fixed in one position: for example, a portable computer which is using a mobile phone to communicate with a server or a mobile phone using a protocol such as the Wireless Application Protocol to connect into a Web server. Mobile computing is a major expansion area; although it poses large challenges to developers. For example, there are more factors which reduce reliability in mobile computing than there are in normal distributed systems.
