(MDAS)

A self-reported psychometric anxiety questionnaire used to objectively evaluate the level of a patient's anxiety. It is a 5 item questionnaire with a maximum score of 25. A score of 19 or above indicates a highly dentally anxious patient and possibly a dental phobic. See also dental anxiety scale.
