A resort in Monaco, forming one of the four communes of the principality; it is famous as a gambling resort and as the terminus of the annual Monte Carlo rally.

Monte Carlo method a technique in which a large quantity of randomly generated numbers are studied using a probabilistic model to find an approximate solution to a numerical problem that would be difficult to solve by other methods. It is named after Monte Carlo with reference to its gambling casino.
