Australian dancer and choreographer. He studied at the Australian Ballet School and joined the Australian Ballet in 1962. He continued his studies at the London School of Contemporary Dance and performed with London Contemporary Dance Theatre, for whom he made several works. From 1971 to 1975 he was resident choreographer of London Festival Ballet. In 1983 he was appointed artistic director of the West Australian Ballet in Perth, creating many works there including Seven Deadly Sins (1987) and Hamlet (1993) along with stagings of The Nutcracker and A Midsummer Night's Dream. In 1997 he left Perth to pursue an international freelance career.
