(1907–1992), labor activist. Luisa Moreno, a native of Guatemala, was an important labor activist in the early to mid-twentieth century. She worked tirelessly to establish and maintain the rights of Latinas and Latinos, especially women, in the United States. After years of persecution for her labor activism, she lived her final years outside the United States.
