Quick Reference

Anatomical abnormality in which the foot consists of an abnormally short first metatarsal bone and an abnormally long second metatarsal bone. It is not usually disabling, but it can result in mechanical problems during running, causing the foot to overpronate because of lack of stability. Those with Morton's foot are more likely to sustain stress fractures if they over-train.
