Dark purple-red fruit of the tree Morus nigra, slightly sweet and acid, similar in shape and size to a raspberry or loganberry. The white mulberry (M. alba) is grown mainly as a food source for silkworms, but also for the fruits, which are dried. Indian mulberry is noni.
