An innovative chair for use in space, designed by architecture students at the Munich Technical University in Munich, Germany. It has a body-restraint system by which an astronaut straps the chair to his or her body at three points, up to the hip. An adjustable table can also be attached to the chair. An MSC was installed on the Russian space station Mir in 1995 and the design will also be used in the International Space Station.
