(b New York, 1723; d New York, 1795). American silversmith, active in New York. His early work is Rococo silver with pierced decoration (e.g. cake basket and dish ring; New Haven, CT, Yale U. A.G.), but he later made silver in a Neo-classical style. He also produced important examples of Jewish ritual silver for synagogues in New York and Philadelphia.
