A US securities clearing house formed in 1977 by the merger of the National Clearing Corporation, owned by the National Association of Securities Dealers Inc., and the clearing facilities of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the American Stock Exchange (AMEX). The NSCC is a subsidiary of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC).
