Quick Reference

A primitive form of video on demand where the provider runs a number of copies of a video over a network, with each video being played over a channel with a delayed starting time. The technological requirements for this form of video on demand are much lower than for pure video on demand, where the user is effectively associated with their own copy of the video. However, some functions associated with pure video on demand are lost, such as the ability to rewind a video.
