Quick Reference

A multifunctional transmembrane receptor of the immunoglobulin superfamily that is found in two isoforms (1461 and 1408 aa) in many tissues. It has 50% homology with the receptor for repulsive neuronal guidance molecules, deleted in colorectal cancer (DCC), but does not seem to be associated with tumours. Neogenin is a receptor for netrin and other repulsive guidance molecules and also binds hemojuvelin. See also protogenin.
