A test used by sports medicine practitioners to assess the mobility of neural tissue in the extremities and spinal cord. Typically, a neural provocation test is carried out after a patient describes painful symptoms. If during a test the pain is reproduced when tension is increased, and relieved when tension is decreased, abnormalities of neural structures are indicated.
