A term which describes a loose grouping of British sculptors who emerged in a group of exhibitions in the early 1980s, notably Objects and Sculpture shown in London and Bristol in 1981. Most of their work is abstract and makes use of industrial or junk material. Prominent members include Tony Cragg, Richard Deacon, Anish Kapoor, David Mach, Alison Wilding, and Bill Woodrow.
