Quick Reference

A Cassegrain telescope with an additional flat diagonal mirror which intercepts the converging beam from the secondary and reflects it to the side of the tube. Unlike a standard Cassegrain, the primary mirror need not have a central hole, and the focal position can be made to coincide with the declination or altitude axis of the mounting, thus giving a stationary observing position.
