Quick Reference

Evolutionarily conserved proteins (nuclear factors associated with dsRNA, IL enhancer-binding factor 3, ILF3) associated with the spliceosome and that may regulate gene expression in response to dsRNA-signalling events in the cell. The NFAR gene encodes a 671-aa polypeptide (NF90) and an alternatively spliced 404-aa polypeptide (NF45). NF90 and NF45 together form an NFAT DNA-binding activity that is enhanced by T-cell stimulation and inhibited by ciclosporin and tacrolimus.
