Italian painter and designer. She designed several ballets, including Milloss's Mario e il mago (Milan, 1956), Babilée's Sable (Ballets Jean Babilée, Paris, 1956), Peter Wright's Sleeping Beauty (Royal Ballet, 1968, costumes only), and—most famously—Ashton's Ondine (Royal Ballet, London, 1958).
