Quick Reference

A password which is only used once and is then discarded. When a user is granted access to a computer network they may be provided with a series of such passwords, but once they use one of the passwords it is crossed off the list and they then have to employ the next one. This is a highly secure way of accessing a computer network which is impervious to normal password attacks. However, it relies on the user keeping the list of passwords physically secure.
