A document produced as a result of the Nuffield inquiry on the education and training of personnel auxiliary to dentistry, published in the UK in 1993 and named after the chairman of the inquiry, Lord Nuffield. It focused on a redefinition of the dental team through which dental care would be delivered and also examined whether and how far the role of auxiliaries could be expanded. It was concerned specifically with the education and training of auxiliary dental personnel now known as dental care professionals (DCPs).
